My last day in OKC...

Today was a good day. We went to D's grandparents for lunch and took BBQ. Food was great and she told them we were engaged and they were thrilled!! Which is great as they are a very important part of D's life so having their approval was SO important to her.

Came across a railway line in which we took advantage and captured a few photographs. Also, on the way back, we stumbled across a house with a field filled with old american classic cars, Mustangs 1967, Chevees and the like. They were all owned by a lovely man called Ken Stanfield who kindly let me photograph them.

This evening we went for dinner at a lovely Brazilian restaurant and the food was just awesome.

Sorry this post is short, I leave for England tomorrow so all time with my girl is precious.

Only two more days...

Oh dear god! I have only two more days until I am flying back to England. How happy do you think I am about that? Not very!

Spent the last few days chilling out, went to the OKC Festival of the Arts yesterday and briefly visited again today. It's pretty good, although I have to admit to having been expectant of a whole lot more in the way of stands and stuff.

D' took me to a place called Grateful Bean Cafe which serves Buffalo Burgers and just the best ice-cream milkshakes.....EVER!

We also went and sized me up for an engagement ring today. Saw some pretty cool ones. I guess I will have to wait another four months for mine though....hmph!

Few pics below from the last few days....see more on my flickr.

Yard work...

So yesterday (saturday) Deanna had to go to work for her last ever day at The Eden Spa.

While she was there I decided that I would help her out and do the very much needed yard work for her. I mean the place was a mess, dead trees, scrawny trees, fallen trees....the place was a jungle and needed the English touch.
And the English touch it received...
You can, believe it or not, actually walk around the garden now without having to duck and dodge your way through in fear of having your eye taken out by low branches.
Here are a couple of pictures...and there are a few more here

In other news...

I've been getting to know D's boy on this trip, although it is difficult sometimes as D has her routine with him and, of course, to him, I'm still a bit of a stranger and he is still getting used to me being around. That said, he is warming to me alot now and wants to do more stuff with me which is really cool. We are hoping to go the Zoo this week at some point as he is excited to show me the new dinosaur exhibition. Although, with only 5 more days until I go back to England, that does not leave us much time (...insert very sad face here...)

Oh, and I am waiting for a special delivery!!

The speechless post...

OK so I have absolutely loads to blog about today and I am not at all lost for words.

So why the title?

Well, there is a million things I need to write about but I can't right now. All I can say is that I have had myself a few days where my mind has been consumed with thoughts and I have really struggled putting them into some sort of coherent order.

I made a decision this week, and now I am starting to wonder if I have made the right one, but not how you might think. I am 100% clear in my decision but I am just not 100% certain that it will be met with the same enthusiasm.

The love, excitement and want is abundant but there is a fear too...

...and now I'm afraid.

I have found myself searching.

Sunshine and Storms...

Thought I would take a few minutes to update whilst it's pouring with rain outside. I've had a great couple of days so far. Arrived at 16:30 on the button Friday afternoon and went for dinner at Pei Wei.....Oh it's good. Then came home and watched a movie and stuff....teehee.

Yesterday was "bring your hot boyfriend to work day" and I spent the day with Deanna at her place of work. Although I was surprised to see that I was the ONLY boyfriend there. So based on that, one can only assume that I am the only hot one...lol Weather was lovely, it was an English summer day (when we have them) I even caught the sun little on my face. I also went for a wonder around Downtown OKC and took a few snaps.
Last night there was an AWESOME (that's for you dad) electrical storm and the thunder, well, this one blast woke me in the middle of the night and I turned to Deanna and said " WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT " to say it was loud was an understatement!!

Today is Easter Sunday, Ruth and Hubert, Deanna's grandparents, joined us for a lovely roast ham dinner, and get this, Deanna even went online, found a recipe for Pea's Pudding and tried to make some. You know what, it was not that bad.

Now just relaxing and will probably watch some cartoons with Will.

Here are a few photographs...I will update Flickr presently
